Heber takes the Killerwhale, the great hunter of the ocean, as his predominant family crest symbol. He is a self-taught carver who has been making Pacific Northwest Coast First Nation’s art since the late 1970s.
Heber`s preferred medium is wood sculpture, but he is a versatile artist who also paints and makes jewellery in the traditional style of his nation. During his carving career, Heber studied at the prominent K`san First Nation’s art school in Hazelton, B.C.
